I want them to have the best possible results so I get the best "word of mouth" marketing.

You are right; proper skin prep is essential for best spray results; clients should:

  • Exfoliate regularly and a day before the spray with a oil free product to remove dead skin cells.
  • Shave or wax a day before the spray.
  • Shower a few hours before the spray.
  • Not apply makeup, deodorant, perfume or oil based lotions after showering.
  • Moisturize regularly and several hours before the spray with a water based moisturizer.
  • Wear dark, loose fitting clothing to the spray appointment.

If they a getting a first time spray for a special occasion they might consider doing a trial spray well in advance to preview prep and results.

You should stock / sell the skincare products they will need for prep and for maintenance of their tan; those are not just an important profit area but quality products add to customer satisfaction.
