There is NO additional charge to take the exam after you complete the Ohio Tanning Operator Training and Certification Course.

The following are the exam centers and information

You will need a device (smart phone) with cellular access to the internet to take the test.

You will need an electronic or paper copy of the course achievement notice you receive when you complete the "Ohio Tanning Operator Training and Certification" course, it has your name and reservation code. You will also need a photo ID.

After you complete the "Ohio Tanning Operator Training and Certification" course there is no additional charge to take the test.

SunFocus is looking for additional testing centers to better serve the Ohio tanning facilities.  By being a testing center your staff does not have to travel to another location to take the exam.  


Testing center duties are quite simple:

  • They must be available a reasonable number of hours a week for students make appointments to test.
  • They must verify a ID before testing.
  • They must be present while the student completes the online test on their phone or other device.
